Yu-Gi-Oh! was created by Kazuki Takahashi and originated as a manga.
Then it became an anime in Japan. It became rather popular which is the reason it became an anime in the first place. Then
it was translated into English which was the only thing Yu-Gi-Oh! other than the cards that I knew about.
